The Productivity Commission has announced an inquiry into new tertiary models …yusss.
This is a chance for learners to have a say in the future of higher education, and it’s one that Ed. Collective is making the most of. We’re doing this by inviting learners and leaders to get the conversation started.
We want to hear the full range of views from all sorts of learners… high school students, the school-leaver unsure of their next steps, the lawyer studying for their Masters part-time, the professional wanting to retrain for a career change, the solo parent studying to create a more prosperous future for themselves and their children. Everyone and most of all, YOU.
To make it as easy as possible to begin, we’ve set up a quick and simple survey here. Ed Collective will do the hard yards of reading every response and shaping a submission that reflects what learners actually think. We’ll also be sitting down for a cup of tea and a chat with a range of students to make sure we’ve got it right.
If changing the future of learning is not enough of an incentive to take part, there’s also a pretty awesome prize. At least $1000 for your study! When we say ‘at least’, we mean it. If you can get enough of your classmates to do our survey too, we’ll put up the grand prize amount – how does $2000 sound?
We need a courageous re-think of the current system and institutional settings that guide how we do things. There is no blame to allocate for how things are – they were designed for another time. But the problems are ours to fix.
